Inside the Role
- Assist management with the federal and state tax compliance process, provide tax audit support and internal financial reporting support for various entities.
- Ensure accurate preparation, review and timely submission of all tax returns required by U.S. federal, state and local tax laws.
- Conduct tax research and complex analysis and support special projects requiring close interaction and communication with other departments in the organization.

Position offers a starting salary range of $74,500.00 - $95,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA
- Prepare and assist management with federal, state and local income and franchise tax compliance process.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and internal policies including accurate and timely submission of federal and state tax returns.
- Prepare and assist management with the company’s operational tax function, including sales and use taxes, property taxes, federal excise taxes, and other miscellaneous taxes.
- Assist with tax notices, audits, occasional tax research, and special tax projects; ensure audit inquiries are thoroughly researched and responses to auditors’ inquiries are clear, cogent, and timely.
- Prepare tax provision calculations for specific assigned entities, including account reconciliations and supporting data.
- Support special projects to optimize overall tax position and reduce tax risks involved with these projects or strategies.
- Remain current on new tax laws and regulations and appropriately reflect changes from a tax compliance and tax accounting perspective.
- Communicate tax law changes to management and recommend appropriate actions to limit exposures.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for compliance and tax accounting services.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business or related field and more than 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Corporate Income Tax experience required.
- Ability to adapt and work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Experience in accounting for income taxes required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management and outside business advisors and government agencies required.
Exceptional Candidates May Have
- Previous experience with CorpTax software and SAP preferred.
- 2 years in public accounting preferred.
- Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- CPA Preferred.
