Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Commodity Manager with specialized knowledge in stamping and metal fabrication to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the global market for commodities related to Metal Stampings and Fabrication and will use this knowledge to develop effective sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute the procurement strategy for Stampings and Metal Fabrication.
  2. Achieve world-class results in quality, delivery, cost, and working capital.
  3. Develop, integrate and manage preferred suppliers for Stampings and Metal Fabrication to meet global requirements.
  4. Develop and implement “best-in-class” supply chain processes and procedures.
  5. Dotted line responsibility for coordination of activities of other commodities and procurement professionals.
  6. Ensure usage of Fortive’s preferred supplier contracts to maximize QDC-results & comply with respective policies.
  7. Lead workshops and kaizens, training acquisition associates on Qualitrol/ Fortive sourcing tools & processes.
  8. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to supply chain team members.
  9. Participate in teams led by corporate commodity leaders, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  1. Education - bachelor’s degree preferred or 10 plus years of experience with at least 5 of that in manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, supply chain or procurement roles.
  2. Functional Training - Demonstration of continuing education in sourcing and supply chain.
  3. Proficiency in procurement software and other relevant computer applications.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and multi-cultural environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
