Candidates are required to work in NYC (Bowling Green) office 5 days/week.
Temporary Talent Acquisition associate needed for approximately 3 months, but maybe longer. TA associate will be responsible for filling on average approximately 25-40 open requisitions (some high volume) and to recruit at least 16 candidates monthly.
Purpose of the Opportunity
The Human Capital team is focused on making people feel seen, heard, and connected with the organization's vision, mission, and values. They have an exciting opportunity for a highly energetic and creative Talent Acquisition Associate. The candidate would be responsible for building and maintaining a pipeline of amazing candidates for roles throughout the organization. The Talent Acquisition Associate reports to the Manager of Talent Acquisition and will collaborate with a team of other Associates to attract the right talent to the organization.
The candidate should be resourceful in the social media space and must have the ability to build and nurture relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders. Familiarization with the non-for-profit human services is a huge benefit in this role. The candidate must also be able to handle high volume recruiting and leverage relationships and partnerships in doing so. Past success with planning and executing career fairs to engage and attract the right candidates is critical in this role.
Key Accountabilities
Relationship Building
• Partner with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to develop effective marketplace recruitment and sourcing strategies.
• Cultivate dynamic relationships with hiring managers and lead hiring initiatives for assigned roles across the organization.
Data Reporting
• Provide the Manager of Talent Acquisition with relevant and accurate data to track time to fill.
• Evaluate, track, and monitor talent acquisition activities against identified goals.
• Track open requisitions for hire as assigned.
Communication
• Prepare offer letters and complete appropriate pre-employment background reviews including employment verifications and professional references.
• Use structured interviewing methods to fast-track top talent and present to hiring managers.
• Confirm candidate credentials as required for various roles across the organization.
Sourcing
• Maintain candidate pipelines through direct outreach and general information sharing.
• Identify effective job advertisement avenues and manage job postings.
Screening/Interviewing
• Screen candidates for experience and compatibility through résumé review, skills assessment, and remote/in-person interviews.
• Actively manage applicants through the interview process to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experiences.
• Organize and coordinate post-interview feedback with interview teams and candidates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
• Must be able to sit at a computer for the majority of the workday.
• Must be able to travel to career events throughout New York City using public transportation.
Qualifications
• BA/BS required.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) required.
• Three (3) years of experience sourcing, passive candidate identification, candidate vetting, and candidate development required.
• Creativity in matching potential candidates to current or future job opportunities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with hiring managers and potential candidates.
• Excellent Microsoft Suite skills.
• Bilingual- Spanish/English a plus.
Hours: M-F (9am-5pm)
