Travel Nurse RN - ICU/Critical Care in Chandler, AZ

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Duration:** 16 weeks
**Shift:** 12-Hour Day Shifts; Minimum every other weekend (up to 3 weekends per month), first to float
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
**License:** RN License
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in neuro or cardiovascular ICU
- Ability to titrate drips
- Experience interpreting own EKG strips
**Job Description:**
- No monitor techs; RNs must interpret their own strips using GE monitors.
- Self-scheduling is allowed, though the manager may adjust shifts based on unit needs.
- Requirement of three weekend shifts within a four-week schedule.
- May have one holiday off during the assignment.
- No additional on-call or standby shifts are required.
- Potential low census up to three times per contract due to unit needs.
- Required to float to telemetry with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed.
- Dress code is navy scrubs.
- Unit-specific orientation lasts one to two days.
- Skills will be validated for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices as necessary.
- Duties may extend to three ICUs, including medical/cardiac and overflow units.
**Additional Notes:**
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have three years of experience (with at least two years in the ICU). Previous experience in a similar-sized ICU is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A dysrhythmia exam and a pass/fail simulation lab are required for successful orientation.
