THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Client Services (Airline Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in office) in one of our office locations - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join a dynamic team working with a major travel industry leader across various sports & entertainment properties. This person will support the client in New York, as well as the Senior Account Manager and Group Account Director that will be remote on various tasks throughout the year.

This role is ideal for someone that is passionate about sports with a minimum of two (2) years of partnership experience. This SAE must have exceptional organizational skills while working flexible hours as partners sit in multiple time zones. Domestic travel will be required as necessary to attend partner meetings and events.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship team and internal cross functional client teams
  • Day-to-day support of regional based sports properties and talent relationships
  • Manage and participate in weekly status meetings by crafting agendas, driving the discussion, and providing recap summaries
  • Consistently stay up-to-date with the travel industry and the sports world
  • Maintain and grow key relationships with property partners and vendors
  • Prepare program documentation and wrap-up reports including results tracking for season and key events
  • Assist in asset management (i.e., audit compliance, ticket allocations, and financial tracking)
  • Support budget tracking and timely reporting
  • Support other team and account wide activations

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years of experience, preferably within either the entertainment, sports sponsorship or event marketing industries
  • Property management experience is a strong plus
  • Confidence serving in a customer service capacity
  • Strong understanding of the sports sponsorship space
  • Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offering
  • Experience in creating exceptional integrated marketing programming
  • Extremely diligent; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while producing quality work within strict timelines
  • Strong self-starter with excellent team dynamics; exceptional sense to be proactive and jump in wherever needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also able to solve problems effectively and independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn – intellectually curious
  • Extraordinary proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Collaborative in nature with a “no job is too small” positive demeanor
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)

This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
