E-Commerce Marketing/Sales Director for Personal Care, Beauty, Cosmetics, Skin Care, Hair & Body

We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Marketing Director with demonstrated expertise in performance marketing techniques that drive growth and expand our customer base. The chosen candidate will define and direct our brand image, voice, and develop online sales and marketing strategies. He/she must have proven experience and a deep understanding of growing direct-to-consumer brands through paid search, paid social, influencer and email marketing. The ideal candidate will prepare sales forecasts and ensure programs meet KPIs and target ROI with experience working across marketplaces from Amazon to third party etailers and branded websites. The chosen candidate must exude a “can-do” attitude and have a proven record of team leadership. She/he will manage a team of creative writers, designers, web developers, and work closely with our media buying team.

Primary duties, responsibilities, and experience requirements include:

  • Responsible for growing our brands as we expand online, deepen our retail footprint, and launch new products.
  • Create, implement, and execute strategic annual performance marketing plans. Develop and manage budgets to achieve growth targets
  • Develop performance marketing campaigns that directly and positively impact sales and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee all e-Commerce operations, enhancing digital channels to increase ROI while directing the e-Commerce strategy.
  • Regularly review and analyze performance, providing weekly, monthly, and annual reports with key actions for improvement to management
  • Create paid marketing strategies across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon) consistently testing and learning to optimize results and conversion.
  • Lead all search marketing efforts, optimizing site rankings and improving organic search results
  • Develop and manage influencer campaigns in conjunction with external agencies.
  • Work with external agencies and internal resources to develop and deploy creative assets and content designed to achieve objectives
  • Develop and execute Amazon strategy to deliver growth while managing MAPP and avoiding channel conflict
  • Responsible for creating, planning and launching new products and go-to-market strategies.
  • Responsible for brand positioning, collateral and storytelling the brand’s differences in consistent and powerful ways that connect with our target audience.
  • Articulate our brand’s voice and story for use in editorial content, advertising, online & retail communications, customer communications and all other outward facing materials.
  • Prepare product level forecasts and revenue projections by channel to ensure inventory availability to support growth
  • Work closely with other departments and Senior Executives to create demand and recognition for the Company and its products.
  • Build a community of active, engaged brand fans.
  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness.
  • Analyze the marketplace to identify ingredient, consumer & shopping trends.

Required Experience:

  • 8-10 years in growth and performance marketing with a portfolio of successes
  • Must have experience in full funnel marketing from prospecting to consideration, conversion and retention
  • At least 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Branding, preferably in Beauty.
  • A track record of performance excellence, meeting targets and objectives.
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and strategy to inspire and motivate a team to achieve business goals.
  • Self starter that is able to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding time frames.
  • Experience managing social media, email marketing, and the brand’s online presence.
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; able to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives.
  • Ability to develop, manage and lead teams; excellent time management, and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
