Senior Director Global Marketing Operation – Fertility

CooperSurgical Inc. Trumbull, CT

Scope: Responsible for marketing Operations across Global Fertility Solutions ensuring alignment within the Fertility team. The role will drive success of all the operations (e.g., systems, tools, processes) for the marketing organization (Circa 60 FTE) and ensure that marketing milestones are met against annual planning goals/objectives. The global commercial Fertility team is approximately 400 FTEs with a revenue of ~$0.5B with a history of double-digit organic growth.

  • Experience with Single Use products and associated strategy across all or most of the associated clinical areas.

  • Proven track record of successful portfolio results.
  • Demonstrated pattern of intellectual curiosity.
  • A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop pro forma P&Ls and basic understanding of modeling to build and achieve revenue projections.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid/Office based. Role will require desk work.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Marketing experience leading successful product lines for growth.
  • Direct Sales experience or KOL relationship management preferred. Product launch experience with responsibility for driving specialty physician preference and adoption.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree preferred, especially an MBA or an advanced scientific degree.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $210,000 - $240,000. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.


Job Summary:

The role will lead a team (Circa 14 FTE) of Market intelligence, Market analytics, Mar Tech, Content and Communications in order to run an effective Operations department that enables the broader marketing organization. The role will take ownership for KPIs and marketing analytics that effectively support market campaigns and evaluate Return on Investment.

This role contributes to the insights, assessments, and early product portfolio development work, in concert with the Innovation team, Strategy & Business Development and R&D colleagues.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Set the direction and priorities for the Marketing Operations function.
  • Collaborate with Marketing leaders to develop near and long-term marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Create marketing campaign milestones and overall objectives that reflects broader strategy.
  • Oversee development, management, and adherence to marketing processes.
  • Guide analysis of the performance of marketing campaigns with a focus on optimizing current and future campaigns through continuous process improvement.
  • Responsible for key market research, insights gathering and needs assessments for our international markets to develop and execute our global expansion plans.
  • Provide insight into voice of customer priorities, based on KOL and field engagement, so that the organization is properly aligned.
  • Organizes, and controls several projects within an assigned product line from conceptual stages, through development to launch across all geographies, partnering with Strategy and R&D colleagues to ensure portfolio plan syncs with broader CSI vision.
  • Works across the organization to achieve goals for Fertility solutions.
  • Works within the new product process supporting the development and understanding of business opportunities.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and identify opportunities, while driving Marketing agenda.
  • Assessment of the market to effectively introduce portfolio into market, including business strategies, new product introductions, customer relationships opportunities and future product development input.
  • Assess market opportunities to facilitate effective product introductions and promote portfolio growth.
  • Support the development of recommendations for effective execution of commercial objectives by providing relevant and actionable analytics, data and Insight.
  • Connect across the marketing team to Develop analytics that identify and monitor metrics to quantify organization success.
  • In partnership with Product Managers, R&D, BD and Strategy teams, build new product pipeline against strategic platforms to deliver 5-year plan.
  • Plan appropriately through each stage of product development to ensure adequate depth/resources to meet business objectives.
  • Create and oversee new product launches and incubation processes, including managing a portfolio of product tests & learns and launches of various sizes that are balanced to meet company needs on existing brands, leading and working in close collaboration with other functions.
  • Able to work closely with Integrated Marketing services to ensure alignment and delivery of marketing plans.
  • Manage budgets effectively, optimizing marketing spend to maximize ROI, and promote a culture of marketing efficiency and impact.
  • Build and cultivate a high-performing Marketing Operations team to execute effectively.
  • Monitor key metrics and objectives to inform business planning.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and developing a staff of talented marketing professionals. Coordinates and collaborates cross-functionally throughout the entire organization to include Brand, Channel Marketing, customer service, sales, innovation, R&D, Strategy and Operations.

Travel:

  • Around 20% per year.
