**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 6pm - 6:30am
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
**License:** Indiana or compact RN License required
**Certifications:** BLS required (AHA only); ACLS preferred (AHA only); PALS preferred (AHA only)
**Must-Have:** Experience working in a critical access hospital
**Job Description:**
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to patients of all ages in the medical-surgical unit.
- Utilize equipment such as Epic, IV pumps, and Pyxis machines; demonstrate the ability to start IVs.
- Work 12-hour shifts; never work alone, potential for on-call duty, and required to work weekends and holidays.
- May float to other units/departments as needed to meet minimum staffing requirements; rare to float to the Emergency Department.
- Work within a 25-bed critical access hospital, with a 4-bed constant care unit, and a 21-bed medical-surgical unit.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.
- Adhere to the dress code of Caribbean blue scrubs.
- Participate in an 8-hour non-billable orientation.
