Overview
Ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations and safety requirements. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of physical-chemical systems at the centralized wastewater treatment facility in Browns Summit, NC. Weekend overtime may be required. Position requires working on uneven surfaces, frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of various sizes, shapes, and weights, pulling drums, totes, and containers, and handling of tank truck hoses.

Job Description
SHAMROCK ENVIRONMENTAL is seeking one or more LOCAL certified wastewater treatment plant operators preferably located or willing to commute daily to the Greensboro, Browns Summit, NC area. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of physical-chemical systems at the centralized wastewater treatment facility in Browns Summit, NC. Weekend overtime may be required.
Duties:
1. Maintain daily logs and operational records of activities performed
2. Monitor treatment systems during operation and cleaning
3. Take samples to submit to lab for analysis
4. Perform and document routine safety and maintenance checks
5. Assist with checking-in and processing trucks
6. Assist with offloading trucks
Must be on-site for 10-hour shifts 5 days/week. May require weekend work. May require paid travel to other facilities. Overtime hourly rates will apply after 40 hours. Shamrock encourages and assists operators in obtaining and maintaining wastewater licenses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $22/hour (may be higher depending on licensure/experience)
Expected hours: 50+ hours per week
License/Certification:
- Wastewater treatment certification and/or minimum 2 years of experience (Required)
- PC-1 or PC-2 license highly desired
