Job Title: EDI Technical Lead

Position Summary:
• Under general direction of the designated Manager, the individual will be responsible for Technical Administration and Operations of the EDI environment.
• Provide all required support for Sterling Integrator, including but not limited to SBI, SFG, SPE, ICC, and Lightwell Framework.
• Responsibilities include supporting protocols such as FTP, sFTP, and AS2, performing code deployments, application upgrades, performance monitoring, and tuning of the EDI landscapes.
• Proactively identify opportunities to utilize technology to solve technical and business problems as well as provide remediation support during incident and event resolution.
• Help define and support best practice standards for the Technical Administration and Operations team supporting continuous improvement and best practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installation and tuning of Sterling Integrator products suite.
• Maintaining stability and performance of the Sterling File Gateway, Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Control Center, and Sterling Secure Proxy environments.
• Actively manage the performance of the EDI Sterling environment, including capacity planning and tuning.
• Support B2B communication and protocols including FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and AS2.
• Create best practices for Sterling File Gateway and Sterling B2B Integrator with supporting documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in remediation of EDI Sterling B2B incidents and events.
• Provide 24 x 7 on-call rotational support including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Work closely with other teams to remediate all EDI B2B issues (server, network, MQ, database, etc.).
• Coordinate with Delivery and Service teams to prioritize daily work for code deployments, application upgrades, performance testing support, and defect resolutions.
• Participate in the IT Change Management process to schedule and support all EDI related changes.
• Provide support for new projects affecting the EDI B2B Sterling Integrator landscape.
• Engage and interface directly with IBM as required for product support/questions.
• Apply ITIL methodologies.
• Contribute to cost versus benefit measures and analysis.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Travel is estimated at 5%

Experience and Educational Requirements:
• Requires a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. Normally requires a minimum of seven (7) years directly related and progressively responsible experience in EDI Technical Administration and Operations support.
• Requires experience with implementation, operating, and performance management of Enterprise EDI B2B systems.
• Experience with Sterling B2B Integrator, SBI, SFG, SPE, ICC.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience with Sterling B2B - Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling External Authentication Server, Sterling Configuration Manager. Strong Data Exchange/EDI background desired, supporting Enterprise level environment.
• Working knowledge of EDI Development/Configuration/solutions evaluation/Validation and deployment.
• Working knowledge of file transfer protocols including HTTPs, FTP, SFTP, AS2.
• Experience and working knowledge of UNIX and Linux Operating Systems and commands.
• Ability to document standard operating procedures and best practices to support an environment of continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of business requirements and ability to apply supporting solutions.
• Strong self-starter with the ability to provide training and support.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
• Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply technology knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
