What You Will Do

As an Aftermarket Solutions Engineer at Netgroup Engineering, you will lead the development of efficient spare parts, service, and repair solutions that maximize vehicle uptime and provide a competitive advantage in the aftermarket business for Volvo Group's North American truck products. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the repair methods and spare parts solutions align with Volvo’s safety and quality standards, and are validated for optimal performance.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing, documenting, and optimizing Spare Parts solutions required for technical repairs.
  • Creating and adapting repair methods and standard times for components, systems, and vehicles.
  • Developing and documenting special tools needed for repair methods.
  • Leading internal technical reviews related to spare parts, repair methods, and standard times to ensure consistency.
  • Ensuring repair methods and standard times meet Volvo Group’s safety and quality objectives.
  • Verifying, validating, and quality-assuring technical solutions before introducing them into systems.
  • Synchronizing technical solutions with stakeholders to provide a holistic view of the entire product value chain.
  • Taking ownership of the parts assortment and repair methods throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with Product Development Engineering to share market learnings and product performance insights to enhance vehicle uptime.
  • Utilizing machine learning and business intelligence to drive efficiencies, improving dealer workshop autonomy and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Applying knowledge in automation (Python, Java, C++) to develop solutions that improve daily operations.
  • Using data analytics to drive decision-making and support the business based on data insights.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in product development or aftermarket services, preferably in the automotive or trucking industry.


Additional Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of spare parts development and repair optimization.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and experience with automation tools such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and take ownership of product lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to validate and verify technical solutions.
