ABOUT US: Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Program Aide to join our WIC Office in Fremont, NE. This position offers 40 hours per week with an hourly wage plus benefits. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
JOB SUMMARY: As a Bilingual Program Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting participants with filling out necessary forms for program assistance. Responsibilities include assessing household gross income and household size, explaining the proper use of eWIC benefits and ID cards to participants, and providing professional translation services for non-English speaking/reading participants. You will also ensure quality control of daily office tasks and supply inventory, submit reports and summaries by deadlines, travel to assigned clinics as requested, and maintain confidentiality of program participants according to Program and Agency standards and policies. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Basic skills in word processing, email, and data entry. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
WAGE & BENEFITS: The starting wage is $18.50 per hour plus benefits. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance.
