RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to thoroughly understand all products and services available through Lodging Reservations. Will present accurate, detailed information and availability about the services offered by Deer Valley Lodging Reservations. Will sincerely sell or reserve services obtainable through Lodging Reservations and refer requests for other information and services to the proper source. Vacation Planners will also provide general information about Deer Valley Resort and the surrounding community (when appropriate) via multiple communication channels including phone, email, chat, and/or in person.
- Maintain the ability to sincerely sell these products and services.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Deer Valley Resort, Park City and the Utah Ski Industry. Therefore, able to present accurate information on the resort community and statewide ski industry.
- Reservation and resort-oriented tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors. These include but are not limited to data entry, quality control, guest callbacks, and helping support team staff with selected tasks if necessary.
- To heighten the anticipation stage of the guest experience at Deer Valley in a thoughtful manner. To promote Deer Valley Resort to inquiring guests whether it be for current or future visits.
- To fully understand and follow departmental and company policies and procedures. Uphold company policy and accurately utilize Lodging Reservations procedures to secure services for guests at Deer Valley.
- Mentoring and sharing of knowledge. Peer monitoring, coaching and feedback.
- Create any additional tools needed for personal knowledge, growth and retention. (Self-motivation and initiative)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous direct experience helpful (preferably in the Park City/Deer Valley area); prior reservations/sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience selling a luxury product preferred.
- Genuine desire to satisfy individual guests' needs within our capacity.
- Professional communication skills mandatory.
- Possess and utilize strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer and interpersonal skills a must.
- Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls without interruption in a positive and fresh manner.
- Position requires a mature, dependable, flexible, team-oriented person who is able to stay calm under pressure.
- Self-motivated, sales-oriented person a must.
- Multi-tasking ability important.
- Must be available for varied shifts and days of the week, including weekends and holidays. Call center hours of operation are generally 8:00am - 5:00pm daily. Shifts are typically 8:00-4:00 or 9:00-5:00.
- Required to be in-office during training and initial work period, which is typically 4-8 weeks but may be longer or shorter depending on performance. After that, remote work may be permitted at the discretion of Supervisor/Manager.
- If working remotely, must have adequate equipment and internet speed to support job requirements. Company laptop and headset is provided.
- Meet or exceed required call volume in a positive manner.
- Meet or exceed required revenue levels of services and products offered.
- Ability to handle a wide range of guest demands and attitudes during phone calls, while maintaining a productive and professional approach.
- Willingness to learn and share feedback and other information with fellow employees and supervisors.
- Uphold company and departmental policy at all times. Demonstrates support for company missions and values.
- Willingness and ability to be part of and contribute to a successful departmental team. Is able to work under stressful conditions without creating tension among fellow employees, vendors and supervisors. Work Station and surrounding area kept neat.
- Ability to communicate in a pleasant and efficient manner. Ability to present company policy in a diplomatic way. Possesses and utilizes good verbal communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Willingness to take the guest through all phases of the reservation. Accepts responsibility for entire reservation process and projects, including any guest resolution situations with the aid of supervisory team.
- Knows policies, procedures, or ways to obtain this information. Familiarity with the Deer Valley and the Park City areas and products.
- Willing to accept new policies and procedures as changes occur. Available for varied work shifts.
- Ability to complete projects before work shift ends. Reservations comments and notes are clear and fully explained. Passes pertinent information and suggestions to supervisors with feedback to improve the Lodging Reservations department.
- Adheres to lunch and break policies so as to maximize coverage and provide quality guest service. Willing to accept new and varied responsibilities. Does fair share of workload.
- Reports to work on time and has minimal absences. At the station and ready to work at the start of shift. Minimal scheduling requests.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour plus Incentive Plan
