This is a full-time role for a Tax Advisor position located in Plymouth, MN, with the flexibility for some remote work after in office for approximately six months of training. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for clients, analyzing financial information and tax laws, as well as providing tax consulting services and assisting clients with tax audits and appeals. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax advice and guidance to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Conduct thorough research on tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
- Stay up-to-date with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and securities law.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is preferred, or working towards.
- Proven experience working as a Tax Advisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in financial analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
