Summary / Overview:
- This role supports Commercial Digital Space. The Lead Segment Architect participates on one or more project teams, including supporting the design and modeling of the architecture and related solutions, component identification, quality reviews and adherence to policies, standards, guidelines and procedures. They review existing business processes and establish metrics to improve business processes as well as support all architectural disciplines under their direction.
Project Based / Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Experience Owners and IT leadership to understand and capture business objectives
- Document all solution architecture design and analysis work
- Assist business areas to enhance their existing business processes using technology – i.e. automate any manual processes
- Awareness of industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the enterprise
- Understand, advocate and augment the principles of Enterprise Strategies
- Develop a road map of the enterprise application portfolio
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of experience
- Mentor Solution Architects and other technical resources
- Update and create standards and patterns for the organization
- "Sell" the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results
- Collaborate with other Product, Domain, and Application architects to define the solution while incorporating their roadmaps
- Analyze the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent written / verbal communication skills
- Independently motivated but can work effectively on a team
- Assist business and IT through the creation of a project’s scope and requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT experience designing architectures and delivering information systems including data/information architecture, technical infrastructure, architecture and application architecture
- Strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize
- Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions
Exempt Status: Yes (not eligible for overtime pay) / No (eligible for overtime pay)
