Job Overview

The Investor Experience organization is currently hiring a Product Manager responsible for owning the sales pipeline function within LPL’s digital advisor platform. This role is responsible for leading the firm’s strategy on developing feature parity with 3rd party tools to increase integrations experiences while creating basic native functions to support LPL clients.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Sales Pipeline Management functions and how those functions are used across institutional and independent advisors, alike. An ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate the user experience for creating and managing sales opportunities within the digital advisor platform while building deep integrations with our 3rd party vendors.

This role requires advanced knowledge and experience in agile software development, with a desire to teach and mentor less experienced colleagues. This role also requires excellent communication and presentation skills. You will truly own the vision, delivery, and will be counted on to present and sell your ideas throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in requirement gathering sessions, documenting user flows for stakeholder alignment, feedback, and solution design.
  2. Work closely with business and technical partners to align goals and priorities, including providing vision for the agile teams as well as creating and prioritizing the roadmap and backlog.
  3. Responsible with analysis, data mapping, user stories, use cases, communications, training and testing.
  4. Writes epics, stories and acceptance criteria that reflect agreed upon scope.
  5. Plans sprints and sets sprint goals in alignment with prioritized roadmap.
  6. Leads story grooming, refining descriptions, acceptance criteria, and ensuring all required documentation and designs are attached.
  7. Able to articulate the “What” and “Why” and communicate priority for planned work.
  8. Deeply understand the market, industry, customer, and regulatory landscape.
  9. Identifies problems or opportunities that deliver quantifiable and measurable value.
  10. Collaborates with leadership and key stakeholders to document product vision, strategy, and priorities to inform delivery.
  11. Validates implemented features deliver expected value and documents feedback for future consideration.
  12. Represent product priorities during planning events.
  13. Act as subject matter resource for questions regarding features and integration experience.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  2. 8+ years of experience in product management within a financial service or related fintech firm.

Core Competencies:

  1. Deeply understand the market, industry, customer, and regulatory landscape.
  2. User experience specific background with the ability to apply their market understanding into short-term and long-term vision.
  3. Deep understanding of Advisor sales process and sales pipeline management functions.
  4. Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a group and independently.
  5. Must be able to take initiative and “make things happen” with timelines and deadlines, self-starter and independent contributor.
  6. Good understanding of use cases development, articulation of user needs, user story creation and backlog management.
  7. Must have experience driving product from lab to market.
  8. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.

Preferences:

  1. Experience in agile methodology preferred.
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  3. Strong attention to detail, process, and organization.
  4. Positive, flexible person with the ability to work in a changing environment, identify and manage priorities.

Pay Range:

$145,200.00 - $242,000.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
