Job Title: Sr. Director of Data Management
Location: Utah
Job-Type: FTE
Salary Range: $150K – $175K
Referral Fee: $3,500
Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).

Position Overview:
In this position, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of data management policies, practices, and technologies to support the organization’s overall business goals and objectives. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the data management framework, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to integrate data management practices into business processes.
  3. Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  4. Ensure implementation of data architecture frameworks to implement effective database solutions and models to store company data.
  5. Develop policies and procedures for data handling, classification, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  6. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data through robust data quality and data security programs.
  7. Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools and platforms.
  8. Define and implement data integration processes, including data sourcing, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  9. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data management professionals.
  10. Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.

Required Experience & Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a data management role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  3. Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data protection laws and practices.
  4. Experience with modern data management tools and platforms.

Nice to Have Experience:

  1. Certifications such as CIPM, CDMP, or similar.
  2. Experience in change management and business transformation.
