As Director, Marketing Brand Experiences & Strategic Partnerships, you’ll lead a dynamic team and oversee key functions within the marketing team, driving strategies to elevate brand visibility, engage target audiences and achieve business objectives. You’ll provide leadership, guidance and strategic direction to your team members while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company goals and priorities. Reporting to the SVP, Brand Experiences & Strategic Partnerships, you’ll improve the strategic integrated marketing management methods through the proper use of insights and develop the overarching strategies designed to drive awareness, acquisition, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive business growth.
- Partnership Management: Oversee Rocket's extensive sponsorship portfolio, including NFL, PGA Tour, and NBA properties, while expanding into entertainment and lifestyle partnerships.
- Agency Oversight : Manage relationships and scope of Brand Experiences & Strategic Partnership agency partners.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Serve as the team's key point of contact across internal departments, including Integrated Marketing Communications, Rocket Community Fund, Business Development, DEI, and others.
- Campaign Execution : Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Brand Development : Oversee brand development and management initiatives, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and brand voice.
- Innovation: Continuously identify and initiate solutions for areas of opportunity in the business, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Relationship Building : Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, industry influencers, and media outlets.
- Talent Strategy: Lead partnership talent strategy and activation, collaborating with senior leadership and external agencies to negotiate contracts and activations.
- Team Development: Develop team members to write effective marketing briefs, collaborate with stakeholders, and produce high-quality, engaging marketing content.
- Diversity & Inclusion : Support long-range diversity and inclusion strategies to enhance market penetration, leadership makeup, and a culture of innovation.
About You
- 10+ years of experience in a marketing role or at an advertising agency, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent competency. Preferred: Master's degree.
- Strong relationships across the industry, including talent/influencer agencies, league and local properties. Experience preferably in a technology-driven industry.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in marketing technology tools and platforms; passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Experience in B2C, B2B, and/or talent marketing.
