Part time 27 hours weekly.
Position is open to report to *** locations in either Albany, NY or Syracuse, NY.
Provides engineering design and analysis support for all types of gas distribution engineering projects. Support requires collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to work with operations, project sponsors, and union design/drafting staff.
Coordination and technical communication with various permitting municipalities and engineering support service providers (Geotech investigation firms, internal survey group, etc.).
Key job responsibilities include:
- Answering technical inquiries
- Making technical recommendations
- Providing process troubleshooting
- Improving process engineering tools
- Developing process procedures
A large percentage of work will be proposed within the NYS DOT ROW, across multiple NYS DOT regions in Upstate NY.
Previous engineering and permitting experience with the NYS DOT (PERM 32 / PERM 36 / PERM 44) is preferred.
Previous utility engineering experience is preferred.
NYS Professional Engineering License is preferred.
Must have a BS engineering degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 15 years experience.
