Phlebotomist

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist for a contract position in Post Office Square, Boston. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient verification, specimen collection, and laboratory preparation. This role requires flexibility in working hours within the lab's operating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

• Patient verification and identification.
• Set up and prepare needles for venipuncture.
• Label tubes accurately for specimen collection.
• Perform blood draws on patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory send-out.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certification from an accredited Phlebotomy program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in phlebotomy across all age groups.
• Covid-19 and flu vaccinations are required.

Additional Information:

• No parking available on-site.
• The lab operates from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Shifts will vary, and candidates must be flexible and available to work within these hours.
