A law firm is seeking a Land Use Associate Attorney for their San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of meaningful experience in land use, planning, and zoning. They should possess experience representing property owners, developers, tenants, or municipalities throughout the land entitlement and development process and have a solid understanding of environmental, regulatory, and administrative law issues. CA Bar admission is required. The candidate should also have exceptional academic credentials and hands-on practical and legal experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients, including property owners, developers, tenants, and municipalities, in land use, planning, and zoning matters.
- Manage and navigate the land entitlement and development process, including securing necessary permits and approvals.
- Provide legal counsel on environmental, regulatory, and administrative law issues affecting land use and development projects.
- Draft and review legal documents, including land use agreements, permits, and compliance reports.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client advice and case strategies.
- Advise clients on compliance with local, state, and federal land use regulations and zoning laws.
- Collaborate with clients, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate land use and development projects.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings, regulatory proceedings, and related litigation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- At least 2-4 years of meaningful experience in land use, planning, and zoning.
- Experience representing property owners, developers, tenants, or municipalities in land entitlement and development matters.
- Knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and administrative law issues.
- Admission to the Bar in California (required).
- In-depth knowledge of land use, planning, and zoning laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of environmental, regulatory, and administrative law.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to land use and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
