Position: Manufacturing Engineer (ON-SITE)
Salary: 90-125k depending on years of experience
Location: Port Washington, NY - Full time on site
Hours: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday

Summary: LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing national distributor that is currently seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Port Washington, NY. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the manufacturing processes The ideal candidate will have a background in metal fabrication with associated processes: Stamping, Punching, Shearing, Bending, Roll Forming, Welding, Joining, etc. This person will manage complex projects and help to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to determine manufacturing capacity and make recommendations and plans on the best way to increase capacity.
- Ensure the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Review and calculate labor, material, supplies and other production costs with schedules and future production requirements to develop and execute plans to increase quality and reduce cost.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
- Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvement in quality control.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
- Previous experience working in a Manufacturing Plant is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, plant/operations, or a technical engineering role. Preferred 5-7 years.
- Metal fabrication experience required with associated processes: stamping, punching, shearing, bending, roll forming, welding, joining, painting, etc.
- Experience with CNC/NC equipment and automation.
- Lean Manufacturing skill set and/or certification is preferred.
- Project management experience a plus.
