Transport Planner – Permanent Position
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 PA (based on experience)
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 12.00pm – 21.00pm

A transport CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for the candidates with the right attributes.

Your Role:
- Planning and allocation of nationwide and European deliveries.
- Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices.
- Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability.
- Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters.
- Attending Customer conference calls and meetings where required.
- Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions likely to affect group performance and Customer experience.
- Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions.
- Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction.
- Minimising fleet empty running.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse Customer base. The ability to think laterally and make sound decisions will be essential. Additionally, you’ll need the aptitude to develop a detailed understanding of the operation and the specific characteristics of the broader sector.
