Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our brand new Seattle bakery located at 4215 Brooklyn Ave NE, Unit MR-2, Seattle, WA 98105! We are currently seeking hospitality focused individuals looking to join our industry leading, rapidly growing, nationally recognized company!

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

  1. Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
  2. Supervise, train and coach 2-5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and customer deliveries.
  3. Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
  4. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence.
  5. Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
  6. Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
  7. Upselling and overall customer service excellence - Ensuring all team members are also upselling and providing the best customer service.

Desired skills/experience:

  1. At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
  2. Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
  3. Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
  4. Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and our Applicant Tracking System
  5. Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs- Sun)
  6. Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States
