Job Requirements / Description

This position is responsible for the day to day processing of financial commitments on behalf of the Department of Housing and Residence Life. This individual frequently uses University systems such as Banner, Cognos, SciQuest in their daily tasks. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Business Operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  2. Ability to work in a team environment.
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Proficient computer experience and working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent and two years' secretarial/administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. More than two years' accounts payable/receivable experience with financial reporting exposure.
