Addison Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare organization in Chicago. Our client is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to handle physician billing and work directly with third-party payers and patients to ensure accurate and timely payment collections.
Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for resolving outstanding receivables, working closely with third-party payers, handling denied claims, and addressing customer inquiries. This role requires experience with physician billing and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve billing issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve outstanding receivables related to physician billing.
- Analyze and manage denied reimbursement claims.
- Respond to inbound customer service inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Work with third-party insurance payers to ensure accurate billing.
- Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in Healthcare Accounts Receivable (physician billing required). Experience resolving denial issues and handling claim form edits. Knowledge of EPIC and Availity preferred. Familiarity with payer websites for claims verification and tracking. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Additional Details:
- Hours: Daytime schedule, typically 8 AM - 4 PM.
- Remote Flexibility: After 2-6 weeks of onsite training, remote work available with one onsite day per week.
