LINK Staffing Services has partnered with our nationally well-known client to immediately fill a Logistics Planner role. You will be joining a team-centered environment where openness, transparency and accountability are encouraged at all levels. Our client is a multi-national company servicing in the oil and gas industry in the Houston area.
Temporary 6 month assignment with the potential to go permanent. Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize transportation software systems to facilitate material movement
- Planning and scheduling
- Work with other departments to communicate any issues for pickup and delivery
- Track and trace cargo
- Update weekly schedules to ensure on time deliveries
- Receive and audit freight invoices
- Engage with customers to address concerns and complaints
- Manage freight claims
- Coordinate deliveries for air freight and ocean shipments
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 2 years in logistics coordination
- Experience in production scheduling, distribution, and inventory planning
- Freight settlement
- Local transport market knowledge including equipment, port and airport operations
- Ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience with advanced TMS platform, JDE preferred
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Strong written and verbal skills in English
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
