This is a new role in the fastest growing division of Townsquare Media, a $500MM, public and profitable, cross platform media company. The team at Townsquare Ignite is a data driven, audience acquisition focused programmatic media planning and buying agency. We are looking for a proven revenue generation specialist that is entrepreneurial, and a strategic thought leader to become a key member of our leadership team.
The Vice President of Sales will drive digital revenue growth across multiple markets and regions, partnering with local leadership to exceed budgets. They will partner with local market leadership to best exceed digital revenue goals. This includes developing sellers with a wide range of digital product knowledge and being hands-on in the market and with clients. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front in closing deals, is hands-on, solutions oriented, nimble and can work collaboratively and effective across an organization from sales, media buying, operations, product, and engineering.

Townsquare is a media, entertainment and digital marketing solutions company principally focused on small and mid-sized markets across the U.S. Our assets include 318 radio stations and more than 325 local websites in 74 U.S. markets, approximately 550 live events with nearly 18 million attendees each year in the U.S. and Canada, a digital marketing solutions company serving more than 11,750 small to medium sized businesses, and one of the largest digital advertising networks focused on music and entertainment reaching more than 50 million unique visitors each month. Responsibilities
- Exceed programmatic budgets across markets/regions.
- Conduct comprehensive discovery meetings with prospects and existing clients to identify optimal solutions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with advertising agencies and client-direct personnel.
- Scale successful regional sales teams through recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts.
- Manage sales activity using our CRM tool, Blueprint, ensuring a robust sales funnel.
- Develop new revenue channels at regional and local key account levels.
- Collaborate with SVP’s-Digital Sales and digital leadership to drive strategic initiatives
- Train sellers on essential sales skills, including cold calling, value-based selling, and prospecting.
- Possess an expert-level understanding of exchange platforms and advanced audience targeting capabilities
- 7+ years of hands-on digital sales experience.
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance and building/leading teams.
- Comfortable working across multiple regions and markets.
- Ability to engage clients across various categories and budgets.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- High energy, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-directed, and capable of executing strategic plans independently or within a team.
