Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for diverse automation projects.
  • Architect and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems with a focus on optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues with control systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Interpret and create detailed electrical, mechanical, and process schematics and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Drive testing, validation, and commissioning processes for control systems, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions to enhance automation processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in controls/automation engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in object-oriented programming and advanced PLC programming techniques.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience reading, creating, and interpreting complex electrical, mechanical, and process schematics.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges methodically.
  • Solid foundation in mathematics and its application to control systems and automation.
Desired Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages (e.g., C++, Python) and compiled programming languages.
  • Expertise in ladder logic, structured text programming, and other IEC 61131-3 languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Siemens, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, or other leading PLC platforms.
  • Advanced experience programming HMIs such as Ignition, Factory Talk, or Wonderware, with a focus on user experience and interface design.
  • Proven experience with computer/machine vision systems, including their integration into automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Be able to work in a lab standing up to 8 hours each day.

Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$141,100.00 - $211,700.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
