King County's Business Resource Center (BRC) is searching for a Peoplesoft Payroll Business System Analyst to join our PeopleSoft Payroll/Time & Labor team. The Payroll/Time & Labor team provides business critical systems support to King County’s PeopleSoft Payroll module.

The Position
This is a rare career service opportunity where you will have the chance to lead projects, create project artifacts, and manage work efforts to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks that support our business partners and our common goal to ensure County employees are paid on time and accurately. Primary duties will include creating project schedules, change management, gathering requirements, developing, and executing test plans, and providing end-user support. You will have the opportunity to apply soft skills as well as technical skills to your PeopleSoft projects. Your business partners will consist of teams from various subject matter experts across several King County departments. Scope of Job Duties : To be considered minimally qualified , applicants must demonstrate a background that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to:

  • Collaborate with our business partners in HR and Payroll to deliver PeopleSoft payroll functionality to meet business needs.
  • Provide system and user support for the PeopleSoft Payroll module.
  • Lead and facilitate project groups in defining business requirements and assess alternative solutions to minimize system customizations.
  • Create project documents to support PeopleSoft Payroll projects, including business case and options analysis, project schedules, requirements, specifications, and test case documents.
  • Conduct Software Development and System Testing according to standard SDLC methodologies.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO:
  • Have a strong background in business and system support of complex ERP systems, and in Payroll business practices.
  • Possess the skills to design and implement solutions for system modifications, interfaces, and reports.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have knowledge of software development best practices, system configurations, solution design, and process reengineering.
  • Practice adept communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to clearly communicate application best practices to non-technical audiences.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and customer-focus for building and maintaining positive working relationships with team members, business partners, and agency staff.
  • Are a self-driven, proactive problem solver with attention to detail and demonstrated initiative.
  • Can flex and adapt as required, while working in a multifaceted environment.
  • Can balance a strong work ethic with a positive attitude, love Technology and Teamwork!
