A top 50 Am firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience in Labor & Employment law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take on significant responsibility in handling employment litigation, administrative matters, and client counselling across various employment areas, including wage & hour, ADA, ADEA, class and collective actions, Title VII, and Title IX.


As a member of our thriving Labor & Employment Practice Group, the successful candidate will engage in meaningful legal assignments and interact directly with clients. This role operates within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for candidates with exceptional academic achievements, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage their own workload independently, along with excellent research and writing skills.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
  • 4-7 years of experience practicing Labor & Employment law, in a large law firm.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York (admission in Pennsylvania is recommended but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws, particularly in areas relevant to the role.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to engage effectively with personnel at all levels, delivering messages with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, coupled with a commitment to professionalism and integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle employment litigation and administrative matters, providing legal counsel to clients across a range of employment issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to employment matters, including contracts and agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other documents.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and represent clients in administrative proceedings and litigation.
  • Stay updated on developments in labor and employment law, particularly in New York.
  • Develop and deliver training and presentations on relevant employment law topics.


The average base salary range for this position in New York is $200,000 to $275,000
