About the role

As the Customer Marketing Manager, Expansion at Planful, you will be responsible for driving growth and retention among our existing customer base. You will lead initiatives aimed at expanding our customer relationships, increasing product adoption, and driving customer advocacy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your marketing expertise and customer-centric approach to maximize the lifetime value of our customers and contribute to the success of our company.


Requirements

  1. Proven experience (3+ years) in either customer marketing, demand generation or customer success roles in the SaaS industry, with a strong preference for fintech-specific experience.
  2. Strong understanding of marketing principles, customer lifecycle management, and customer segmentation strategies.
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute customer marketing campaigns, including email marketing, in-product messaging, and personalized communications.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  5. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze customer data, metrics, and trends to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
  6. Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo), in-app messaging tools (e.g., Pendo), and customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  7. Knowledge of fintech industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  8. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute customer marketing programs and campaigns aimed at driving expansion and upsell opportunities among our existing customer base.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, customer success, product management, and marketing to develop targeted messaging, offers, and promotions for different customer segments.
  3. Develop enablement content, case studies, and testimonials to showcase the value of our products and services and drive customer advocacy.
  4. Implement automated email marketing campaigns, in-product messaging, and nurture programs to engage and educate customers throughout their lifecycle.
  5. Monitor and analyze key metrics and KPIs related to customer expansion and retention, and provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders.
  6. Work closely with the account management team to identify expansion opportunities, develop account plans, and coordinate marketing efforts to support account growth.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, and incorporate insights into customer marketing strategies and initiatives.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, gather feedback, and advocate for customer needs within the organization.
