75708BRJob Posting Title:Sterile Processing Technician II (Evenings 3p -11:30p)Department:Patient Services-Central Processing DepartmentAutoReqId:75708BRStatus:Full-TimeStandard Hours per Week:40 Job Posting Category:Support ServicesJob Posting Description: We are currently offering a $7,500 sign on bonus for full time hires.This Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for:Following departmental policies/procedures and transporting carts of instrumentation or medical materials to and from designated areas within the surgical suites or SPD. Restocking OR surgical core with surgical instrumentation sterilized in SPD following departmental policies/procedures and instructionsReceiving, sorting, cleaning and decontaminating soiled reusable instruments, equipment and materials following manufacturer’s instructions. Manually recording items/materials received in department logs. Loading, operating, and emptying cleaning and decontamination equipment such as automatic washers, endoscope reprocessors, cart washer and pasteurizersInspecting, preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and other materials. Assembling trays and packets of instruments, medical supplies for surgical procedures according to standardized content lists and manufacturers guidelines. Loading and operating sterilizers, programming settings and monitors temperature and other critical readings during run cycleAnswering departmental telephones and forwarding calls as needed.
