OPPORTUNITY
Immediate opening for an experienced STAFF ACCOUNTANT in the Dallas corporate office of a growing private multi-family real estate investor/developer. This position will responsible for the accounting and preparation of financial reporting for a portfolio of multifamily real estate investment properties. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller and works closely with asset/property managers, lenders and other third-party accountants. Dallas area applicants only.

- Prepare weekly cash transfers and monitor daily deposits
- Analysis of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of multifamily properties prepared by 3rd party property management groups.
- Monitor and preparation of draw requests for banks/investors.
- Review and process internal renovation funding requests.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets for certain investment properties.
- Compile financial work-papers for audits/reviews/tax return preparation.
- Perform other special projects, historical research, financial analysis, and other duties as assigned.
- Work to ensure all reports/documents are provided to auditors on a timely basis.
- Possess and apply a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Two years multifamily real estate experience (emphasis on multi-family, investor reporting)
- Accounting degree
- Familiar with Accrual Accounting
- Organized and articulate
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Yardi or MRI Accounting software a plus
