Job Description Summary:

Seeking a Hematology/Medical Oncology APP. Logan Health Hematology and Oncology has a collection of services and specialists in hematology and oncology who are committed to excellence in treatment, care and education of our patients.

  • Positive, self-motivated and energetic advanced practice provider with at least one year of experience in oncology.
  • Min. 2-3 years Hematology/Oncology experience required
  • Monday – Friday; no call expectations
  • Join a team of 5 doctors and 2 other NPs providing hematology/oncology care in a clinic setting as part of a patient-centered care team
  • Patient mix includes symptom support /urgent care visits for in-treatment patients and follow-up of established patients
  • Participation in multidisciplinary conference, quality improvement projects, and cancer program activities encouraged

  • Provide direct care to radiation oncology patients and help support our multidisciplinary oncology team including:
  • Manage acute patient issues in radiation oncology (assessing the health status of patients by obtaining an appropriate patient history, perform appropriate physical examination based on age and history, and perform, order and follow up on appropriate diagnostic tests)
  • Develop an effective treatment plan to maximize health benefits to the patient by selecting appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, developing a patient education plan and providing patient teaching, and using appropriate consultation or referral to other health care providers
  • Evaluate patients in long-term follow-up
  • Provide survivorship care plans to patients
  • Round on patients admitted to the hospital
  • Participates in hospital and clinic quality improvement and quality assurance activities as requested or required. Participates in provider and support-staff meetings, including tumor boards, as required.
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)

Shift: Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule Details: Please know schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and department/organizational needs.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
