Automation Project Manager
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the planning, organizing, and staffing of the EIA phase of projects.
Position Functions:
- Coordination with other departments and division to establish an offer by estimating EIA part and proposing an architecture
- Take note of user requirement specification
- Defend the offer to the customer with the team designated to establish the offer
- Define a schedule with different milestones and weekly monitoring
- Manage budgets and control the changes
- Define internal and external resource requirements
- Develop a specification of EIA material
- Define the design with process team and validate the functional description. Write functional analysis from functional description
- Establish a regular client contact and document each meeting
- Supervise contractors and advancement of manufacturing (supplier and customer site)
- Coordinate and ensure the commissioning of facilities
When large-scale projects, manage a functional team to perform the following phases or in smaller projects, perform the following phases:
- Establish a requirement specification for electrical consulting (cabinet manufacturing and wiring on site)
- Develop I/O List from Equipment List and P&ID
- Develop Automation program and/or IHM program from internal development specifications or those of the client
- Update as-built electrical drawings
- Make internal tests / FAT / SAT / Commissioning documenting their respective protocols
- Make internals tests, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and Commissioning, document their respective protocols
- Write Operator Manual of installation and provide user training as well as the technical file of the equipment
Requirements:
B.S. or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer or equivalent with a minimum of eight years’ experience or equivalent with a minimum of five years of proven experience in a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
- Competency in MS suite and other data entry software’s
- Strong willingness to learn and perform more than assigned tasks
- A strong interest in technical tasks and willing to go out in the field
- Keen eye for detail
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work on collaborative multi-disciplined projects autonomously
- Proactive and confident decision-making to execute of the assigned scope of work within the constraints of schedule, budget and specification
- Strong experience in Industrial electrical design, Information Technology and Automation domains
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate the team
- Having a global and passionate mindset is important as you will be working in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong development of automated and monitored solutions on platforms following the standard IEC-1131-3
