Full Time Patient Care Associate - (3281707)

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) will assist the RNs on Ellison 7 with a variety of functions including phlebotomy and EKGs, transporting patients, checking rooms and equipment, assisting patients with dressing and feeding, and some clerical functions. Our Patient Care Associate team prides itself in responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating respectfully.

Responsibilities

  • Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport patients, using the appropriate physical technique, in a safe manner for the patient and self.

Minimum Requirements

Required: Licensed, certified or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing program, Pre-Med or PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed at time of hire.

Preferred: Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.

Full-time, 40 Standard Hours

Shift

Rotating, 40 Hour Day/Evening Rotation (5) 8-hour shifts or (2) 12-hour and (2) 8-hour shifts, Rotational holiday and weekend schedule, Permanent position
