Description
We are looking for a senior Network Engineer with extensive experience with Fortinet, both designing and supporting its devices and networks, to join us. You will work with a team of network engineers and other IT professionals on a variety of environments.
This is a fully remote permanent position which requires excellent English communication and an accomplished career in network engineering. You will be supporting English-speaking customers in the UTC-7 time zone. Please apply with an English resume to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install a range of network devices, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
- Be the network team expert on Fortinet products
- Be the final level of support for network troubleshooting on internal and customer environments
- Mentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineers
- Communicate with users as needed
- Create and maintain complete technical documentation
- Fully track time and document work done on internal and customer tickets and projects
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary
You should be deeply familiar with:
- Fortinet and Cisco devices
- Switch/Router/Firewall configuration
- TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN) and Layer 3
- Wireless knowledge (802.11x)
- WAN NNI circuit
- Stack
- Ubiquity
Requirements:
- 8+ years of network engineering and architectural experience with Fortinet, Cisco, and/or Palo Alto
- Certifications like CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, FCSS/NSE 7, FCX/NSE 8, or equivalent skill
- C1/C2 or bilingual English skills
- Experience with BGP in an MSP or data center environment preferred
