Site Coordinators needed to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Program participants. Must be able to manage large groups of students and have knowledge of school-aged programming. Strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Plans weekly program of activities that include implementation of YMCA Curriculum
  2. Directs supervision of all staff in center which includes daily guidance and assistance with staff evaluations
  3. Provides appropriate discipline and direct management of all children according to written policy
  4. Assures activities are safe and fun for staff. Actively facilitates activities with children
  5. Establishes positive rapport with parents, staff, school faculty and school principal
  6. Effectively maintains all school and YMCA equipment, supplies and inventories
  7. Maintains records and data on each child and employee
  8. Collects fees and implements site budget
  9. Monitors, completes and submits all attendance requirements for site to the Regional Director
  10. Attends all staff meetings and training sessions, including state mandated courses
  11. Maintains cleanliness & organization of school site and YMCA facilities
  12. Effectively handles all emergency incidents that occur in YMCA program, using mature sound judgment
  13. Maintains YMCA standards for School Aged programs, as well as state licensing and central agency requirements
  14. Promotes and markets ALL YMCA programs, encourages family participation

Qualifications:

Minimum 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and completion of all mandatory child care training MODs. Must also have six early childhood credits from an accredited university or hold a CDA, CDA equivalent, or Directors' credential. Minimum one year experience in a before or after school setting. First Aid, CPR & AED required.

Part-time schedule, approximately 34 hours/week. Must be available Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., $17.00-18.00 hour with excellent benefits including eligibility for health insurance, retirement savings, before/after school child care and free individual YMCA membership for employee and discount for family.
