Supply Chain Operations Analyst

Our client is a leading metals company known for delivering innovative solutions across the globe. Our client is in search of a Supply Chain Analyst in Chicago on a 4 day/week onsite hybrid schedule. No relocation will be provided. Our client is only considering local applicants at this time. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to distribution.
• Monitoring and forecasting inventory to ensure timely availability of materials while managing costs.
• Working closely with logistics teams to ensure timely shipping and delivery, coordinating with suppliers and customers worldwide.
• Identifying and addressing bottlenecks, proposing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Developing and tracking KPIs to monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Supporting supplier negotiations and contract management to achieve optimal terms.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, ideally within the metals or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in supply chain software (ERP/MRP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with international suppliers and customers, with knowledge of import/export regulations and shipping logistics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
