About the Opportunity

ASC is committed to continuously enhancing our organisational capabilities, particularly in supporting Submarine Build and Sustainment programs of work.

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team at Osborne SA! The Senior Estimator operates in a complex and competitive environment to establish and continually improve the Estimating Capability.

As a Senior Estimator, you will develop estimates and quotations for diverse and challenging submarine projects from the design phase through to implementation and maintenance. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with the project managers as well as senior engineers, supply chain, and production specialists.

Responsibilities

  1. Development of Analogous, Parametric, Bottom-up and/or Three-point estimates and combines commercial skills (analysis, bid, negotiation and customer relationship), with traditional estimating skills to derisk internal and external proposals.
  2. Develop estimating process and governance documents.
  3. Collection of data from relevant corporate system(s) and stakeholders with relevant analysis.
  4. Accurate and logical analysis and collation of data to understand the estimate and determine solutions.
  5. Produce accurate and meaningful estimate documentation.

About You

  1. Tertiary qualification within Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Engineering OR equivalent.
  2. Demonstrable competency with minimum 5 years project experience and sound knowledge of Estimating, Planning, Scheduling and Work Breakdown Structures concepts.
  3. Relevant & demonstrable experience in estimating Maintenance/Construction or Engineering.
  4. Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  5. Experience in estimating software and Primavera P6.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong analytical and logical thought processes, Critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail.

Eligibility
