Senior Engineer (E3)


Description of Services


The contractor shall provide engineering services with knowledge of OSHA regulations and apply guidance for safe design and improvements. Responsibilities include determining the best value resolution for problems, developing reports documenting analyses and recommended solutions, and ensuring no more than one valid customer complaint per month for failure to provide required engineering services.


Industrial - Evaluate and establish production processes and controls using AFSO 21, LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar analysis tools for continuous process improvements. Manage facility modifications and new construction projects using Computer Aided Design (CAD) in compliance with OSHA regulatory guidance.


Mechanical (Utility Infrastructure) - Prepare and maintain facility mechanical documentation in AutoCAD, prepare design drawings, interface with base organizations for design, troubleshooting, and repair of infrastructure components, and perform project management on various programs.


Mechanical (Hardware Design) - Maintain AutoCAD inventory files, perform mechanical designs of military 'black boxes' using DoD Technical Orders and industry best practices, conduct thermal and mechanical stress analysis, and identify potential obsolete parts issues with recommended solutions.


Electrical - Possess a working knowledge of National Electrical Code and IEEE standards, interface with safety officials on electrical safety issues, troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, and prepare and maintain electrical documentation in AutoCAD.


General - Access Government Industry Data Exchange Program's Applications, Programs, and Indentures (API) and other databases to identify potential obsolete parts issues and provide solutions.


Reverse - Perform reverse engineering of components and assemblies, conduct material, electrical, and metallurgical evaluations using a structured process.


Test - Repair vintage manual and automatic test stations, identify obsolete parts issues, and provide recommended solutions.


Design - Replace existing electronics with current technology, utilizing design simulation software to validate designs.


Radio Frequency - Design, test, analyze, and consult for RF projects, including recommendations for equipment.


Qualifications and Experience


Must be a US citizen with a valid US passport and possess or obtain a SECRET clearance. Must have a Bachelor of Engineering from an ABET accredited school AND a minimum of four (4) years' experience in an applicable field, including technical involvement in design, development, production, testing, engineering studies, or analysis of system design.
