Position Title: Web Security Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA/Orange County, CA/Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

  1. Implement secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle to protect against vulnerabilities and threats, following guidelines such as the OWASP Top 10.
  2. Provide training and support to the rest of the marketing team on website management and content updates.
  3. Develop and maintain websites, ensuring they are secure, responsive, and optimized for search engines.
  4. Regular attendance during business hours and reliable punctuality are essential functions of this position, and conformance with Client's attendance policy is a key responsibility of the employee.
  5. Integrate third-party tools and services (e.g., lead capture forms, analytics, email marketing platforms) into the marketing websites.
  6. Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to understand requirements and translate them into effective website functionalities.
  7. Collaborate with other teams to perform security audits, code reviews, and testing to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  8. Complete other related duties as assigned and support the Company’s strategic initiatives.
  9. Work closely with Chief Marketing Officer, VP of Marketing Digital Automation, and Web Designer to build and update websites for all product divisions and programs of Client.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  3. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  4. Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.
  5. Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.
  6. Proven experience in developing and maintaining WordPress websites, with a strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations.
  7. Certification or training in web security (e.g., OWASP, SANS, or CompTIA Security+).
  8. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment processes.
  9. Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and web analytics tools.
  10. Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and content delivery networks (CDNs).
