POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides education and rehabilitation services to patients and their families in the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation setting, focusing primarily on patients with pulmonary disease.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Associates degree from a respiratory care program.
At least three years' experience in pulmonary related field with strong emphasis in patient education. Experience in exercise prescription helpful.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the State of Illinois.
Basic Life Support certification required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels within the organization and community under varied conditions. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and critical decision-making skills required.
