ProSource, a leader in the right of way, acquisition, and relocation industry, is searching for Relocation Specialists. We are seeking qualified full-time or part-time Relocation Specialists for work in the Minneapolis, MN area . Our clients are looking for local specialists.
Our Relocation Specialists are responsible for independently reviewing eligibility and determining URA benefits for impacted businesses, homeowners, and tenants.
Duties Include:
- Support the preparation of relocation plan development.
- Prepare and present relocation notices and correspondence with displacees.
- Assist displacees in locating suitable housing in the community.
- Assist displacees in locating community resources.
- Perform outreach to appropriate agencies and other stakeholders regarding relocation services.
- Meet regularly with ProSource management and clients to discuss progress, problems, and plans.
- Assist displacees in completing relocation claim forms.
- Coordinate meetings and DSS inspections of replacement properties.
- Stay current on applicable HUD’s relocation policies and procedures.
- Prepare necessary project documents, reports, and recommendations for clients and ProSource management.
- Review cases for compliance and quality.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Real Estate, or equivalent on-the-job experience required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in administering Uniform Relocation Assistance (URA) benefits to eligible project participants required.
- Minnesota Notary Public.
- Demonstrated good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills building and engaging rapport with internal and external clients along with the ability to resolve problematic resolution issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex/detailed data.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a high-volume workload in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions and guidelines.
- Knowledge of social service programs and operations.
- Knowledge of laws and ethics pertaining to data privacy.
- Knowledge of socio-economic factors that promote stable family life.
- Ability to utilize effective interviewing techniques.
- Ability to work with a diverse population, including low-income individuals and those with mental illness and physical disabilities.
- Work as a team with staff of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Willing to travel to meet clients and tour potential relocation sites.
- Positive can-do attitude, resolution orientation, and willingness to engage in a collaborative process.
