We are working with an Oilfield client that is looking to add a Technical Advisor-Software Development to their team.


Pay Rate: $80.00/hour

Work Location: Onsite – Duncan, OK 73533

Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | 40 hours per week | Normal office hours with the expectation of 24X7 system support as needed.

Duration: 2-year assignment with a high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction for the Technical Software Architecture.
  • Serves as a corporate resource, providing technical direction and advice to management in long-range planning for new or projected areas of software application.
  • Design, research, and develop new applications and major enhancements.
  • Provides expert guidance to developers and support staff.
  • Provide a strong technical focus in product planning for a complete software system.
  • Participates with management, product line, and customers in developing new applications and technologies.
  • As a gatekeeper of the technology, this individual communicates and educates the staff about the current state of the technology and the future directions.
  • Experience in leading software development projects especially at a systems level and will provide Technical Excellence Leadership.
  • Establish and maintain communications with external technology efforts such as industry and academic consortia.
  • Job role contributes directly to value creation.

Qualifications:

  • Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, and 16 years of related experience or through 20 years of software.

  • System and File-based security
  • Custom development and scripting – robocopy, Shop batch Printing, Shadow Drive,
  • Solid works – CWI integration
  • CWI-SAP workflow

Specific skills:

  • Install and set up Windows OS (10 and 11) and Server OS.
  • SQL server install and management.
  • Set up and install virtual servers and virtual win systems including print servers and license servers.
  • Set up System-level backup plus analyze and determine the best backup strategy for specific environments.
  • Windows Active Directory management.
  • IP and vLAN Network configurations.
  • Server hardware design/specs (for servers and backup systems.
  • Analyzing and specifying high-end user Windows workstation hardware specs.
  • Intellectual Property security awareness and adherence.
  • Export compliance and adherence.
