Latitude is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property attorney to join the growing team of a full-service Am Law 200 firm. Interested candidates should have at least 5 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences. A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in synthetic organic chemistry or a related field is required. A strong academic background and excellent research, writing and communications skills are a must. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the relevant jurisdictions (MA, IL, PA or DC) as well as before the USPTO. This is a hybrid position with work from home flexibility in the firm’s Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. offices.
Requirements for the IP Attorney - Organic Chemistry:
- 5+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences
- A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in synthetic organic chemistry or a related field is required
- Licensed to practice and in good standing in MA, IL, PA or DC, as well as the USPTO
- J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

Compensation:
- Pay: The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $295,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
