Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Meets or exceeds assigned revenue objectives for a broad array of telecommunications/IT products and services by developing and executing strategic sales plans to business customers.
  • Sells Alaska Communications products by analyzing customer needs, identifying unique Alaska Communications solutions, conducting high level presentations, closing sales and ensuring proper implementation.
  • Develops customer loyalty and identifies business opportunities by performing quarterly account reviews within assigned territory.
  • Maintains an ongoing relationship with accounts to ensure a positive customer experience and maximizes sales opportunities. Responds to all customer inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Targets accounts for business development. Develops leads for potential customers through community events, professional organizations, professional contacts and other appropriate means.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal employees. Takes initiative to improve processes that will enhance customer satisfaction and/or increase company profitability.
  • Consistently updates detailed customer profiles, sales activities and contact information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and completes projects not specified in this job description.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, information technology or other closely related fields. Alternate education and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a quota bearing sales environment to include selling products/services to business customers and/or a highly consultative sales field. Alternate experience and education may be substituted for the requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred: One (1) year of telecommunications or information technology experience.

Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency working with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Sales Force proficiency preferred.

Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license is required.
