If you want to join a company invested in you and your success, join us as an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer!Based at our Greenwood Village, CO office, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your drainage design expertise learned at school working on transportation-related projects throughout Colorado and the western United States. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living. Work at this level requires the ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.Responsibilities could include but are not limited toWork in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed drainage analysis and design of urban and rural transportation projects including roadways, aviation, and railways.Conduct drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as CDOT, WYDOT, UDOT, and other entitiesProvide support in the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates.Assist in the preparation of project specific drainage reports and technical memorandumPerform other duties assigned by the Transportation Drainage Group Lead and/or Project Managers/ Project Engineers as needed.Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited programEngineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 monthsCoursework related to drainage design and water resources analysisWorking knowledge of the principles of hydrologyic and hydraulic engineeringStrong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skillsIdeally, You’ll Also Have:Experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and H&H design software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, SUDA, OpenRoads)Previous internship with a municipality, DOT or engineering consultant focused on relevant projectsJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
