A Product Development Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in Middletown, PA or Mount Joy, PA areas. This role involves setting up and maintaining 3D printing and industrial machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing quality checks, and collaborating with team members in a manufacturing environment.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineers regarding any issues during operations.

  • Set up both simple and complex machinery, including making tooling changes.

  • Operate and maintain industrial 3D printers and post-process equipment, including resin and extrusion processes for plastics.

  • Follow work instructions for hazardous materials disposal.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and replace basic mechanical components as needed.

  • Use vision/control and computer/controls interfaces during machine set-up, adjusting system settings to achieve desired results.

  • Use inspection tools for gauging and visual inspection, maintain attention to detailed processes.

  • Collaborate with team to resolve setup, assembly, or workflow issues.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA, DLP, MJF).

  • Experience interacting with mechanical systems and troubleshooting assembly machines or equipment.

  • Proven ability to use inspection data to make mechanical and program changes to meet part specifications.

  • Proficient with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators for dimensional inspection.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and bills of materials for accurate assembly setup.

  • strong computer navigation and utilization skills.

  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve, generating new ideas or concepts.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills at all levels.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
